Yesterday we had to say goodbye to one of the most important sons of the great De Niro. After a liver tumor was diagnosed in the clinic, we were forced to redeem Danone I.
Highly successful in Grand Prix sport himself, Danone I passed on his potential and, above all, his outstanding rideability almost continuously to his offspring. With Der kleine Lord (Kristina Böckmann), Danönchen OLD (Liselott Marie Linsenhoff) and Darco von Nymphenburg (Johanna von Fircks) just a few of his most successful offspring in dressage are mentioned.
We are glad that his outstanding genes will continue to be present by stallions like Dante Weltino, Dankeschön and, of course, especially at the Klosterhof Medingen with the Bundeschampion and Vice Bundeschampion Damaschino I and his full brother Damaschino II.
We are proud that we were allowed to accompany the life and work of this special stallion for almost 20 years at the Klosterhof Medingen.
