Without the usual hoof pounding, without spectators and without the knock down hammer of Burkhard Wahler, the first online foals auction of the Klosterhof Medingen ends on June 7th, 2020. The 12 selected foals, all descendants of the Klosterhof sires, could impress with high quality.
The German young horse champion Damaschino not only produced four of the auction foals, he also is father of the top priced foal: Lot number 1 Daydream. The colt out of a Sandro Hit dam aroused particular interest from the very beginning. The Netherlands ultimately won the bid up for 22,000 Euros.
The second most expensive foal was Quality Princess, a filly by Q-Sieben, she will move to her new stable in Denmark.
The collection achieved an average price of 10,562.50 Euros. The nations USA, England, Austria, Switzerland, Kenya, Holland and Denmark were among the bidders.
“It is great how much our customers and breeders trust us and have taken this step of innovation with us. The results were good and we want to firmly establish this format based on this,” Christoph Wahler is pleased with the course of the first online auction.
On July 4th the next foals show will take place at the Klosterhof Medingen, when the foals for the elite auction in autumn will be selected.
